A great example of this goes back to the sixties when the Rolling Stones started a buzz with their fans and peers alike when they outfitted a truck with state of the art recording equipment creating a rolling studio. Just so they could turn any one of their homes into an instant recording studio as advanced as any in the world. Then in the seventies they did it again when they started recording in a studio on an island paradise.
